The sky above the port was the color of television, tuned to a dead channel

Oh dear. How SF dates. After 40 years, Emley Moor ceased its analogue television transmissions last night. This morning, on power up, all our televisions were showing the colour of a dead channel.

It's generally a very, very bright blue!

I don't think this was what William Gibson had in mind at all... :-)

Crowbaby decided to celebrate digital switchover by disconnecting the digibox this morning. This was bad, as I have the children trained in when to leave for school using the Peppa Pig timing method.

evie_petrol sometimes wakes up before everyone else and watches a bit of Milkshake. She knows she has to get dressed as soon as The Mister Men Show finishes. _Usually_ she does...

Still working on whether Kinvara needs to get dressed in her room or can get dressed in front of the TV, Certainly Thomas the Tank Engine calms both of them down. Obviously they will grow up to be little steampunks
